कवयित्री करुणा राईको चर्चित कविता 'बरण्डामा तिमी' लाई कलात्मक दृश्यहरू र सङ्गीतमय पृष्ठभूमि सहित काव्य भिडियोको रूपमा प्रस्तुत गरिएको छ। यो दृश्य-कविताले आधुनिक नेपाली कवितालाई दृश्य माध्यममा ढाल्ने नौलो प्रयासलाई प्रतिनिधित्व गर्दछ, र दर्शकहरूले यसको शिल्प र भावनात्मक अभिव्यक्तिको निकै प्रशंसा गरेका छन्।

धरानमा कवि करुणा राईको काव्यकृति ‘रसिया राग’ शनिबार लोकार्पण गरिएको छ। पुस्तक विमोचन कार्यक्रममा बोल्दै अग्रज कवि बम देवानले राईका कवितामा गाउँले जीवनका विविध आयामलाई जीवन्त रूपमा प्रस्तुत गरिएको धारणा राखे। साहित्यिक समूह कलरव धरानले आयोजना गरेको सो समारोहमा मनु मन्जिल लगायतका स्रष्टाहरूले कृतिभित्रका कवितामाथि परिचर्चा गरेका थिए।

धरानकी कवि करुणा राईको नयाँ कविता सङ्ग्रह ‘रसिया राग’ माथि धरानमा एक विशेष परिचर्चा कार्यक्रमको आयोजना गरियो। कलरव धरानले आयोजना गरेको कार्यक्रमका प्रमुख अतिथि, वरिष्ठ कवि बम देवानले करुणाका कवितामा गाउँको भावना जीवन्त भएर आएको बताए। कार्यक्रममा समीक्षकहरूलेका उनका कवितामा रहेका स्थानीय बिम्ब र सामाजिक चेतनाको चर्चा गरेका थिए।

कवि करुणा राईको बहुप्रतिक्षित पुस्तक ‘रसिया राग’ सार्वजनिक गरिएको समारोहको भिडियो सामग्री युट्युबमा उपलब्ध गराइएको छ। बिरेन सुब्बाद्वारा निर्देशित भिडियो सामग्री र कार्यक्रममा प्रस्तुत गरिएका दृश्य-कविताहरूले पाठक र दर्शकहरूमाझ पुस्तक लोकार्पणको माहोललाई पुनः सिर्जना गरेको छ।

भोजपुर प्रतिभा प्रतिष्ठान बेलायतले हरेक दुई वर्षमा प्रदान गर्दै आएको प्रतिभा सम्मान र प्रतिभा पुरस्कार संगीतकार, गायक तथा लेखक हिरण्य भोजपुरे र कवयित्री करुणा राईलाई प्रदान गर्ने निर्णय गरेको छ। प्रतिष्ठानको निर्णयअनुसार सम्मान राशि १५ हजार रुपैयाँ र प्रतिभा पुरस्कार राशि ३५ हजार रुपैयाँ र ताम्रपत्र रहेको छ। नेपाली साहित्य र कलामा उनीहरूको उत्कृष्ट योगदानको कदर गर्दै यो निर्णय गरिएको हो।

"Bhojpur Pratibha Pratisthan UK has announced that its biennial honor and award will be presented to musician, singer, and writer Hiranya Bhojpure and poet Karuna Rai respectively. The honor includes 15,000 Rupees and the award includes 35,000 Rupees with a citation. This decision recognizes their outstanding contributions to Nepalese literature and art."

भोजपुर प्रतिभा प्रतिष्ठान बेलायतले हरेक दुई-दुई वर्षमा प्रदान गर्दै आएको प्रतिभा सम्मान र प्रतिभा पुरस्कार यस वर्ष संगीतकार, गायक तथा लेखक हिरण्य भोजपुरे र कवयित्री करुणा राईलाई प्रदान गर्ने भएको छ। प्रतिष्ठानको निर्णयअनुसार सम्मान राशि १५ हजार रुपैयाँ र प्रतिभा पुरस्कार राशि ३५ हजार रुपैयाँ र ताम्रपत्र रहेको छ। यो पुरस्कार नेपाली कला-साहित्यको श्रीवृद्धिका लागि प्रदान गरिन्छ।

भोजपुर प्रतिभा प्रतिष्ठान बेलायतले धरानमा दुई भोजपुरे श्रष्टालाई सम्मान गरेको छ। प्रतिष्ठानले अग्रज स्रष्टा हिरण्य भोजपुरेलाई नगद १५ हजार रुपैयाँसहित भोजपुर प्रतिभा सम्मान र कवि करुणा राईलाई नगद ३५ हजार रुपैयाँसहित भोजपुर प्रतिभा पुरस्कार प्रदान गरेको हो। धरानमा आयोजित कार्यक्रममा प्रमुख अतिथि वरिष्ठ कवि कुन्ता शर्माले उहाँहरूलाई पुरस्कार अर्पण गर्नुभएको थियो।
